Gov. Cooper Breaks Campaign Promise to Middle-Class Families

Governor Roy Cooper must have forgotten his campaign promise yesterday when he handed out $40 MILLION of North Carolina taxpayers’ hard-earned money to a global bank – Credit Suisse.

Here is the promise straight from Roy Cooper’s campaign website:

“Corporate giveaways and tax cuts for the wealthiest come at a high cost for middle-class families.”

Now that Roy Cooper is Governor Roy Cooper and he needs photo shoots of the ribbon-cuttings to help his public perception, will he break other promises he made to North Carolinians?

Furthermore, why is Governor Cooper against offering tax relief to North Carolina-based businesses that have been dedicated to creating jobs, while he is willing to provide a global bank a “corporate giveaway.”

We hope the media will ask Governor Cooper how he can reconcile his campaign rhetoric to the reality that he just gave a global bank $40 million to relocate? How will his “corporate giveaway” impact middle-class families?
